I was born and raised in Midland, Texas, save 2 years during which my family lived in Kuwait while my father, a petroleum geologist, explored business opportunities overseas. After graduating from Midland High School, I attended Texas A&M University where I obtained a BS in Building Construction and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management.
Following graduation from Texas A&M, I worked for an international general contractor as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Safety Director and Director of Risk Management on projects located in Texas, Florida and California. It was during the last stop that I obtained my law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1995. In 2001 my family and I relocated to Boerne, Texas, where I established the Law Office of Douglas G. Burford, P.C. in 2004.
My wife Kristin and I have been blessed with 3 awesome children currently attending college, high school and elementary school. I attend Cibolo Creek Community Church in Fair Oaks Ranch, where I serve as a Trustee and teach Sunday School. I also enjoy serving as Den Master for my youngest son’s Cub Scout Pack.
